In 1946 two brothers, Carl R. Lane and Lewis H. Lane started Lane Brothers in Richmond, Virginia.
In 1980, Carl Lane's son, William E. Lane acquired the company and continued to direct and support operations until recently when his son became President.
Present officers are President T. Bryan Lane, Vice President William E. Lane, and Chair of the Board Elaine C. Lane, wife of William.
