My name is Hernan Ayala and I am the founder of Big E's Painting. Most people know me as "Ernie". Born and raised in Arizona, I started this business to bring people's visions to life and turn houses into homes. I am excited to share my passion with you. Back in 2008, I started working in a body shop as an apprentice for a painter. In this role, I prepped, sanded, and masked.
I believe this is where I truly honed in on my attention to detail in my trade. For example, I learned how to properly prep for any job, which includes masking and cleaning all surfaces. From 2010 to 2017 I worked for a roofing company as an applicator. As an applicator, I learned how to apply the proper thickness of product and became very familiar with most sprayers.
Then in 2018, I started working for a small, family-owned painting business. In this role, I gained experience painting interiors and exteriors, refinishing cabinets and furniture, glazing and fauxing, and texturizing walls. Now I have combined all of the knowledge and skills that I have learned together in my own company, Big E's Painting.
