Cabinet refinishing or resurfacings can completely turn around your kitchen or bathroom without having to spend lots of money on new ones. The main difference is semi-transparent stain is used when you want to show the wood grain while using a solid color stain will cover the grain but still have to wood texture underneath.
However, if your wood has a lot of imperfections or color variations then it would probably be better to use a solid color stain to hide those imperfections while still having the wood texture.

My father began painting 30 years ago.
I began working with him over the summers during my high school days.
After graduating high school, I continued to apprentice under him while attending Sonoma State University.
My son, Nikola, was born in 2017.
His presence in my life really pushed me to think about the life I wanted to create.
In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business.
Spending a decade accumulating extensive knowledge of the painting trade while working with my father, combined with the foundation of my Business degree, provided me with the fire and desire to found my company, Duality Painting, in August of 2018.

Zak and team painted the majority of our house interior, restained our wood doors and trim and did some exterior touch-up, and they did a superb job.
