The bridge painting industry has several types of water repellents that are needed for bridge decks and concrete structures. We offer all prep needed to meet Department of Transportation needs. We have painted millions of sf of concrete bridges, wall and traffic barrier rail. This process includes water blasting and applying. As part of our service we can handle all traffic control needs associated with painting existing structures.
This service is often needed by Department of transportation in various states when lead abatement is not in the budget. In this type of paint project, we simply prep the existing coating as needed then coat over the lead based paint to encapsulate the hazardous material. This extends service life of original coating. When working with transportation departments in various states we offer new steel painting as needed within any project type.

SCR Civil Construction, LLC has been using S & S Bridge Painting on TXDOT jobs since 2001.
During this 17 year time period S & S has successfully completed numerous projects with SCR.
A lot of these projects had access issues and scheduling concerns due to our work and their work being jointly connected.
S & S has worked with us on projects prior to the actual bidding and with their help on these projects we were able to complete these projects on schedule and as planned.
S & S would set access and working platforms and do a lot of the prep and removal of paint or lead items and then leave the access and work platforms in place and allow SCR to complete our repairs and then return to complete their work.
