In 1985 Richard Murphy founded DLP Coatings in Elk Grove Village, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
Initially, the company painted fasteners and other small unique parts.
However, since its inception, DLP Coatings has expanded to become an industry leader offering a wide variety of services in addition to painting.
To support its expanded service offerings, the company added a second location in 2014.
Today DLP Coatings occupies 40,000 square feet and operates daily two shifts with approximately 45 employees.
