Gray & Company was founded in 1973 when brothers Paul and Phil Gray began channeling their artistic backgrounds into residential painting.
Originally known as Gray Skies Painting, the brothers focused in on commercial and industrial painting as the business grew through the 80s.
Their first big industrial project included a five million gallon ground storage tank in Topeka, Kan.
Other early large projects included the renovation of the Kansas House of Representatives chamber and the expansion of the Lansing Correctional Facility.
