Jim Stickles started in the painting business at the ripe old age of 10. Helping his father with the maintenance of one of his many apartment buildings, Jim was given a paint brush and as they say. Move ahead 50 years later and Jim today will tell you he thoroughly enjoys his business and being an entrepreneur. Are there many challenges?. You bet!

The Club contacted JS Custom Paint and Wall Covering after a number of contractors turned down the project because it was either too big or they did not provide both painting AND wall covering services.
When they approached JSPCW, Jim said, "This is the kind of large project where I learned this business."
The job demanded first class quality work!
Along with the room being large, there were a number of special requirements that needed to be fulfilled.
Every light fixture had to be removed, all fire sprinklers had to be covered, numerous repairs to the ceiling had to be preformed due to years of unqualified maintenance and repairs.

The Ming dynasty was the ruling dynasty of China for 276 years (1368-1644) following the collapse of the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty.
The orange patterned wall covering for this project was designed by a local designer.
She took the images and symbols from renowned ceramics, porcelains and art of the Ming Dynasty and recreated this custom wall covering to fit the spaces exactly.
To complement this recreated wall covering, JS Custom worked with the client to find a suitable wall covering for the other three walls.
