Joe Gudmundson, the son of a painter, began his painting career cleaning buckets and brushes for his dad.
Shortly after high school, he joined the painter's apprenticeship program and went to work for his dad at Val Gudmundson Painting.
He became an accomplished tradesman and following his entrepreneurial instincts, in 1968, founded Gudmundson Painting.
In 1976, Nancy Gudmundson, joined her husband in the family business.
She and Joe worked as a team.
Over the years, Nancy became more involved in the industry, at one point opening her own non-union painting company.
