Within a day he came out to give us an estimate to stain our curved staircase to match our hardwood and paint the balusters. He was very professional and had some good recommendations on the process. We felt so good about him that we immediately hired his company to do the job. His crew was polite and cleaned up well but most importantly they did an excellent job.

Alex and Adrian did a fabulous job stripping and staining the stair banister to match a wood floor and prepping and staining the family room mantle and front door. I had ideas of what I envisioned, and they guided me respectfully and patiently. Their knowledge of colors and techniques, their attention to detail from preparation to completion, and their care to perform their very best is incomparable. I am more than pleased and would highly recommend them.

Our general contractor recommended AQS for finishing our new front door. Our door was unfinished Douglas fir - apparently a difficult wood to stain. Alex showed up for our consultation on time. He showed us a bunch of stain samples, gave his opinion but wasn't pushy in any direction. We decided on one stain then the next day changed our mind. We emailed him and he said no problem. We actually chose a clear protective stain to show the natural color of the wood and since this was the case he actually took off some money from the quote. We didn't consult with any other company so I can't compare his prices with anyone else.
It took three days to finish the job - set up, sanding a few coats with time in between to dry and then clean up. The guy who did the work was meticulous and on time every day. He left the area clean and the door looks great. Alex came by a couple of days later to check it out. There were just a couple of areas that needed touching up which he was able to do in the spot. Working with AQS was a great, easy experience!

Alex and team was recommended to us by the company that rebuilt our stairs - Northern California Stairs. They were meticulous in their preparation work. Made sure all areas were covered with plastic to minimize dust. I cant say enough about their work ethic. Adrian spent over two days sanding and preparing the wood with keen attention to even the small details. They came on time each day and cleaned up the entire area at the end of the day
