My grandfather started painting houses in 1958, earning a loyal customer base who relied on him for all of their painting needs. In the early 70s, my father joined forces with my grandfather, expanding the company and joining a union to learn all of the rules and regulations surrounding the painting industry. Growing up, my brother and I were fortunate to be taken on job sites where we started with menial tasks and overtime grew our skills.
Learning the old school painting techniques gave us a lot more knowledge about the business. In 2000, I took over the business from my father.
